We are Sue Watson and Jacqueline Symes
Sue is a hypnotherapist, a psychotherapeutic counsellor, and a clinical supervisor. She's been teaching hypnotherapy since 2015 and really loves helping people achieve their potential. She especially enjoys being able to train the next generation of therapists, knowing that they will go on to help their own clients too.
Sue is an accredited member of the national Hypnotherapy Society and a registrant member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society
Jacqueline is a hypnotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor.
She has a real passion for people and genuine care and empathy.
Before becoming a therapist she has been both a team leader and a driving instructor, so she has plenty of experience in helping people learn new things in the best way for them.
Jacqui is a registrant member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society
The Nottingham School of Talking Therapies

We decided to start The Nottingham School of Talking Therapies because we saw space for high quality training that values the quality of the learning relationship as well as the quality of the course content.
​
As students themselves, Sue and later on Jacqui, felt they could have had much richer learning experiences if the class sizes had been smaller and their tutors had had the time to really get to know them and their unique needs.
​
In a field where the strength of the relationship between therapist and client is so important, Sue and Jacqui believe that this should be applied to the learning environment of the therapist too.
​
When Sue and Jacqui first started the School, their focus was on offering training to therapists, but it quickly became apparent that there were so many other settings where their experience, combined with therapeutic principles, could be immensely beneficial. Workshops for small groups of like-minded individuals wanting to explore their own self growth and well being, as well as workshops for an array of business settings quickly blossomed. Sue is available for team building days and other workplace training with a focus on interpersonal dynamics and effective communication, and can put together bespoke packages to meet your specific needs.
